**The Opportunity**

Working within our Ramsay Health Plus outpatient department, a multidisciplinary Allied Health practice located at Hollywood Private Hospital. You will manage all necessary clerical requirements of reception services for our patients who are undergoing Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Speech Pathology and Dietetics. As a receptionist, your day will be varied and will include scheduling appointments, billings and day-to-day administrative duties.

**This position is for alternate Wednesdays, and every Thursday and Friday (5 days per fortnight).**

We are seeking a person with experience in a private practice with the capability to effectively support and meet the needs of a number of Allied Health Clinicians. The successful applicant will be a positive, responsible, self-motivated person with excellent people and telephone skills. It is essential that you have proven experience in a similar role combined with strong focus on detail, highly developed relationship skills, commitment to customer service, a ‘can do’ approach, and above all, an unwavering commitment to client confidentiality and privacy.

This will involve providing a comprehensive customer focused service to all customers, patients and staff, undertaking duties as required as part of a team, and working collaboratively, sharing roles and responsibilities. You will be able to provide timely and accurate information to queries by patients, visitors and other internal departments whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Reporting to the Physiotherapy Manager, you will work amongst a friendly and supportive team while maintaining positive relationships and strong communication networks with all staff and customers.

**About You**

To succeed in this role, you will be a confident professional, experienced in a health setting with a passion for customer service. The ability to converse and be empathetic while managing a busy flow of patients, telephone calls, bookings, and staff queries is a necessary skill needed for this role. You will have exceptional interpersonal skills and should be comfortable working in a team of allied health professionals and dealing with patients, staff, doctors, nurses and non-clinical staff.

You will demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills by communicating openly, succinctly and coherently. Your attention to detail and accuracy, strong customer service skills and commitment to excellence in line with Ramsay core values, along with your ability to multitask, work autonomously and in a team environment, is essential for this role.
- Essential criteria:_
- **Previous medical practice receptionist experience**:

- **Strong customer service focus**:

- Exceptional oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
- **Proficient user and understanding of patient management systems (software e.g. Genie, Nookal)**:

- **Computer literacy including Microsoft suite of programs**:

- **Excellent time management skills and ability to complete tasks within designated timeframes**:

- **Demonstrated problem solving skills**:

- Ability to actively liaise with staff and patients to ensure the information process is completed accurately and conducted professionally and efficiently
- Desirable criteria:_
- **Certificate III in Business Administration or similar**:

- **Medical Receptionist course**:

- **Certificate in Medical Terminology**
