- **In Work Support Consultant - Western **Melbourne region**

This is a full time

**THE OPPORTUNITY**:
The In Work Support Consultant role is involved in working closely with employers and supporting jobseekers who have been placed in employment or work experience. In this role, you will support jobseekers to maintain their readiness for work and to continue to work towards the ultimate goal of achieving sustainable employment.

This role is part of the service delivery of the federal government contracted
- Workforce Australia_
***contract. You’ll be working with a long-standing, not-for-profit company with a national footprint in the delivery of employment, training, and education programs.

In this role, you will be required to quickly build rapport with jobseekers and employers and act as a point of contact for any inquiries regarding employment support, ongoing employment, employment issues or complaints, and other support as required. You will be a point of contact for both jobseekers and employers, and will conduct regular workplace visits to meet with placed jobseekers, employers, and supervisors.

**RELEVANT EXPERIENCE**:

- Proven experience working within the Employment Services sector will be highly regarded - ideally within the current _Workforce Australia _contract - however experience from other Employment Services programs and transferable skills from complementary sectors will also be considered.
- Ability to build rapport and relationships with jobseekers and employers is an important part of this role.
- Experience dealing directly with employers, training organisations, community stakeholders, and industry groups will be desirable for this role.
- Experience working with people to assist them better their life experiences with a focus on employment through further training and education, work trials and employment opportunities.
- Keen organisational and communication skills, and the ability to build rapport and manage relationships.
- Capable of being attentive, timely, and accurate with administrative tasks.
- The ability to work towards regular KPIs, targets and/or deadlines.
- The ability to work autonomously within a team environment.

**ADDITIONAL INFORMATION**
- This is a full-time permanent role based at a dedicated site in the Western Melbourne region.
- Site location for this role is: Sunshine.
- Salary package is made up of base salary + super.
- This is an on-site role and you will be based at a dedicated site, as part of your role you will be required to travel to employer sites and workplaces in the region from the site.
