**Overview**
- This role is responsible for utilizing an organization’s data governance processes to ensure fitness of data elements - both the content and metadata. It is a specialist role that incorporates processes, policies, guidelines and responsibilities for administering organizations’ entire data in compliance with policy and/or regulatory obligations.**This is a 6 months Day rate contract role to be based in Melbourne. Seeking applicants who are looking to commence from 01st July.**

**Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities**
- Operational Management- Collaborate with technical teams to improve data quality across lifecycle
- Gather data and develop reports to demonstrate data quality
- Investigate and perform root cause analysis on data issues to propose remediations for proactive data quality management
- Working with Data Protection and InfoSec to ensure DG alignment
- Act as SME for dataverse and ongoing projects working with customer and PII data, and investigate data protection issues
- Maintain metadata in a Data Catalog
- Document processes and maintain records
- Governance & Risk- Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements
- Support quality standards and Link Group assurance programs that deliver effective risk management and compliance practices
- The above list of key accountabilities is not an exhaustive list and may change from time to time based on business needs. In addition, as the role is part of a global team travel and flexibility to work outside standard hours may be required in this role.

**Experience & Personal Attributes**
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline
- A minimum 5 years’ experience (Lead 10+ years) in a data governance role
- Skills with data visualisation - reporting and data storytelling
- Technical skills to query and interrogate data
- Good written and verbal communication skills
