**Description**

**About the role**

Our Melbourne Mechanical team is seeking a BIM Designer to contribute to the growth and success of the team. We are looking for someone that can provide technical expertise and available at short notice for a minimum 3 month contract.

**Day to day tasks would involve**:

- Manage and deliver drafting / design building services work packages relating to Mechanical projects.
- Support our delivery teams during design and construction
- Execute design work within time constraints to a professional standard
- Provide assurance of having personally checked the work carried out
- Contribute to our company culture
- Bring value to in-house design meetings

**To be successful for this role you'll need**:

- Ideally have experience working within an engineering consultancy
- Broad knowledge and experience in the Building Services Sector (ideally with HVAC background)
- Have advanced knowledge of building services sector
- Experience working with BIM, Revit, CAD, Navisworks, Revizto
- Understanding of BIM Workflows and project setup
- Self-motivated, resourceful and an excellent communicator.
- Interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external clients
- Able to do troubleshooting issues with BIM models.
- Organisational skills to prioritise work with the team to meet business and project delivery needs
- Highly developed problem solving and negotiation skills to resolve disputes that arise
