**About the role**

Mater at Home has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and team orientated **Dietitian** to join their team. This is a full-time position on a maximum-term basis from 11 September - 14 January 2024.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing a home-based dietetics service for Mater at Home patients located within a 35km radius of Mater’s south Brisbane campus. Mater at Home provides community-based integrated services to patients along the continuum of care, from aged care to young with disability.

**Salary range: $34.33 - $50.32 (HP3) per hour plus superannuation and salary packaging**

**What you’ll be doing**

The key accountabilities for this role include:

- Deliver competent to complex level clinical Dietetic services in the community to adult residents in the Greater Brisbane Area (which includes screening, assessment, investigation, diagnosis, treatment, goal setting, case management and data collection) within a single and multidisciplinary team in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards
- Participate in the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within the Dietetic work area as well as in the identification, development and implementation of quality and service improvement activities that enhance the delivery of Dietetic services within the Mater at Home service.
- Provide a clinical and professional liaison role with the wider healthcare team involved with the patient/client
- Manage a clinical workload within a geographical area under the supervision of the Discipline Team Leader
- Develop clinical and professional practice knowledge and expertise through active learning within the single and multidisciplinary team and by engaging in professional development activities
- Provide clinical education pertaining to routine tasks for students and less experienced staff with the support of senior clinical staff
- Participate in the identification, development and implementation of service quality and improvement activities that enhance the delivery of Dietetic services

**About you**

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing their individual clinical caseload while contributing to the development of continuous quality improvement strategies and best practice models of Dietetic care.

You will also have:

- Tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics
- Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status (or Provisional APD status as appropriate)
- Comprehensive knowledge of Dietetics in a community setting
- A current Drivers Licence, valid for use in Queensland
