**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Due to the successful award of additional Greater Sydney Bus Contracts, Transit Systems is seeking **Customer Relations & Infrastructure Officers **for our Greater-Western Sydney operations.

Reporting to the Operations Control Centre (OCC) Manager the Customer Relations and Infrastructure Officer supervises and supports bus services in the field and in depots when required.

The Customer Relations and Infrastructure Officer will liaise and work collaboratively with the Operations Control Centre Coordinator and the Service Delivery and Network Planning teams to deliver quality bus services across our expanded Western Sydney Network.

**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES**
- Supervise and monitor bus operations across the Western Sydney Network.
- Carry out minor repairs and maintenance on buses g. graffiti, mirror replacement, ‘jump start’ engines as instructed by maintenance/OCC.
- Attend and monitor planned road works and events to ensure appropriate delivery of Ensuring appropriate bus stop closure information displayed including redirection to alternative stops.
- Attend unplanned roadworks and traffic incidents and liaise with external stakeholders to ensure accurate information flow to the OCC, Depots, and Bus
- Communicate effectively with Operations Control Centre, with relation to service needs
- Reschedule and adjust services out in the field in a pro
- active manner to maintain service Undertake radio monitoring and response activities when required.
- Undertake tasks to support duty of care in the event of incidents and accidents, eg providing support or assistance to injured
- Responding quickly and effectively to mitigate or manage risks and protect passengers, staff and
- Monitor and report on performance issues that affect services, including those relating to satisfy complaints and/ or non - compliance with policies (e.g. Mobile Phone Policy).
- Assist passenger’s co-ordination and/or supervise bus services at Bus Stops and Terminus
- Assist Operations and Service Delivery Managers in reporting and investigating customer

**ABOUT YOU**
- Working knowledge of the Bus Operators Award and relevant legislation, and operational procedures & systems (including those related to environment and safety), relevant to delivering bus services to meet contract requirements or ability to obtain.
- Hold a Heavy Vehicle Drivers Licence.
- Knowledge of the procedures for maintaining ticketing equipment and arranging necessary repairs or ability to learn process.
- Safety first mindset with the ability to Identify and address potential hazards and other issues that may be detrimental to service standards.
- Knowledge of and the demonstrated ability to implement customer service principles, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of the Western Sydney transport network.
- Demonstrated coordination, problem solving and organisational skills.
- Computer literacy and good working knowledge of computer systems to provide administrative support.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
