Your role at St John of God Health Care

In this role, you will work as a key member of the Communications and Public Relations team to lead a content communications strategy that positions St John of God Health Care as a market leader across all audience segments and helps drive activity in hospitals.

The Content and Communications Manager will be responsible for proactive and reactive internal and external communications, content strategy and development for multiple channels, reputation and crisis management, media management, events and sponsorship management and stakeholder engagement.

The Position- Develop and oversee the editorial pipeline to market St John of God Health Care’s services and position the organisation as a leader in the Australian health sector for the provision of high quality healthcare.- Develop and lead a St John of God Health Care content strategy that spans all media - traditional and social.- Generate high-quality content for a range of audiences that communicate and promote SJGHC strategy, services and community activities.- Daily writing of a range of content materials, including media releases that feature breaking news, op-eds, storytelling, consumer articles and feature stories.- Use story telling as a way to assist in content communications and consumer engagement and brand loyalty.- Identify issues and industry commentary that will position St John of God Health Care as a thought leader and industry commentator.- Partner with senior internal stakeholders to influence participation in thought leadership activities.- Write and edit St John of God Health Care’s quarterly publication, Pomegranate.- Play a supporting role in developing, writing and editing the Annual Report and Corporate Profile as required.- Help develop an overarching proactive and segmented media relations strategy that communicates SJGHC’s Mission and points of difference to its external stakeholder groups.- Manage and implement targeted media campaigns and manage media as a channel in larger communications campaigns.

You will have outstanding writing skills and proven ability to produce clear and compelling information simply and consistently. With your senior experience, you will demonstrate ability in managing content development and delivery for online and traditional publications, including planning, writing, commissioning, editing, optimising, uploading and scheduling.

To succeed you will have a relevant tertiary qualification or industry experience in a comparable role and you will have proven experience (5 + years’) developing and executing communication strategies across internal and external stakeholder groups.
