**About the opportunity**:
As a member of the CSBP Kwinana Laboratory team, you will assist in the provision of analytical services to our chemical and fertiliser production businesses in our NATA-accredited laboratory. In this important role, you will be:

- Collecting samples from operating plants and environmental sample points.
- Preparing samples for analysis, free from contamination.
- Performing physical and chemical analytical testing.
- Providing timely and accurate results to customers.
- Following documented procedures and keeping records to ensure compliance with ISO17025 and NATA accreditation requirements.
- Assisting in training of new staff.
- Suggesting improvements in techniques or routines that enable more efficient use of facilities.
- Perform routine checks on test equipment.
- Monitor and report quality assurance and reference material tests.
- Prioritise safety for self and others in all practices.

**About you**:

- Demonstrated laboratory experience in using modern analytical procedures, including classical and instrumental techniques.
- Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques or higher relevant qualification.
- Sound understanding of laboratory quality systems, NATA and AS ISO 17025 and excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good computer skills
- Current valid “C” class Western Australian driver’s license
- Current or eligible holder of Dangerous Goods Security Card
