**About the Opportunity**

We are seeking multiple Laboratory Technicians to join our team. As a member of the CSBP Kwinana Laboratory team, you will assist in the provision of analytical services to our chemical and fertiliser production businesses, as well as environmental wastewater monitoring, in our NATA-accredited laboratory. In this important role, you will be:

- Collecting samples from operating plants and environmental sample points.
- Preparing samples for analysis, free from contamination.
- Performing physical and chemical analytical testing (eg, ICP-OES, LECO N, discrete analyser, Eltra C/S, GC, classical wet chemistry techniques such as sample digestions and titrations)
- Preparation of chemical reagents and reference standards.
- Providing timely and accurate results to customers.
- Following documented procedures and keeping records to ensure compliance with ISO17025 and NATA accreditation requirements.
- Assisting in training of new staff.
- Suggesting improvements in techniques or routines that enable more efficient use of facilities.
- Perform routine checks on test equipment.
- Monitor and report quality assurance and reference material tests.
- Prioritise safety for self and others in all practices.

**About you**:
Demonstrated laboratory experience in using modern analytical procedures, including classical and instrumental techniques.
- Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques or higher relevant qualification.
- Sound understanding of laboratory quality systems, NATA and AS ISO 17025 and excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good computer skills
- Current valid “C” class Western Australian driver’s license
- Current or eligible holder of Dangerous Goods Security Card
- Prior experience working in a major hazard facility or industrial manufacturing plant is desirable but not essential
- Reasonable level of strength and fitness is required to perform duties
