What’s on offer?

Due to growth in our Infrastructure Services business, we are looking for a Road Maintenance Coordinator to join the Southern Region team, commencing on the 1st of February, 2023. This position will support Fulton Hogan’s Victorian Road Maintenance Contract (VRMC). Under this contract, Fulton Hogan ensures the Department of Transport’s road assets are inspected and maintained across the Barwon South West region of Victoria. The role will be based at the VRMC operations depot in Geelong.

The core duty of the Road Maintenance Coordinator is to ensure resources are efficiently managed, programs coordinated in accordance with contract intervention timeframes and asset maintenance systems are practically utilised to deliver the best outcome for the client with roads kept safe for the public.
- Interpreting and analysing asset condition data within our Asset Maintenance System (AMS) and determining corrective actions in order to meet contract KPIs.
- Compiling works programs for review and approval by the client to rectify the road and asset defects throughout the road network
- Coordinating teams of maintenance crews including subcontractors to deliver defect rectification activities as per contract requirements
- Ensuring road maintenance consumables and resources are kept in stock and available to crews and subcontractors as per site needs
- Identifying opportunities for improvement of the team’s asset maintenance strategy
- Reporting, monitoring and controlling of workplace hazards and risks

How you’ll connect to the role?
- Ability to self-manage multiple accountabilities and deliverables, and prioritising delivery of these to ensure the best possible outcome
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to develop important relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word etc.)
- 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role within a construction, infrastructure maintenance or similar sector with similar requirements
- A strong commitment to our Living Safely culture
- An engineering, project management or similar qualification would complement the skills for this role well
- The pre-employment process will include a medical check, including drug and alcohol screening
