**The Opportunity**:
Are you interested in a critical ICT role ensuring the safety and security of building occupants for the Australian Parliament?

**Who we are looking for**:

- Applicant should have established knowledge of Application Architecture (Back-end, Desktop and Web Applications), System Integration and Application development and deployment life cycles. Some experience in Database management and data transformation (SSMS, TSQL) and Software development (Visual Studio,.NET, C# or other) experiences are desirable.
- Applicant should be familiar with programming and scripting languages (C#, PowerShell). High-level network management and automated testing framework experiences are desirable.

**Job Specific Requirements**:

- The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 (Confidential/Highly Protected/Secret) security clearance.
- This role requires the applicants to undertake rostered shifts spanning 7:00am to 7:00pm during the parliamentary sitting periods; and participate in an on-call ICT support roster.

Under limited/general direction undertake duties in accordance with the agreed standards for the PSL5 classification. The duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Prepare and execute complex enhancements and changes in accordance with standards, procedures, and guidelines whist liaising with relevant stakeholders to resolve complex system issues.
- Investigate, anticipate, prioritise, and triage incidents, service requests, and known and suspected problems and ensure timely rectification to meet relevant service level agreements.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities, system management monitoring activities, examine overall system health and performance whilst responding to operational concerns.
- Development and maintenance of technical and non-technical documentation, wiki articles, solutions to common problems, and request procedures to assist the section's long-term initiatives and overall operational outcomes.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with essential stakeholders and end-users of electronic security systems to provide premium assistance as required.
- Employees of DPS are required to be able, and to be seen to be able, to provide professional advice and services to all Senators and Members without favour or prejudice._

- Evaluate and execute system, software and firmware installations and updates whilst preparing, reviewing, and submitting detailed change requests in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Ensure information security controls, policies, and procedures are adhered to and document and manage risk.
- Liaise with stakeholders to provide advice, recommend solutions, communicate operational impacts and mitigation strategies, and assist in coordinating system changes to meet operational demand.
- Employees of DPS are required to be able, and to be seen to be able, to provide professional advice and services to all Senators and Members without favour or prejudice._
