**About the Role
The Head of Product leads the Product and Experience Research & Design Practice for Big W X and is a core member to the Digital Leadership Team, partnering with Product Leads, Technology Leadership and other stakeholders across Big W and the Woolworths Group.

A significant part of the role is leading and coaching a team of Group Product Managers who are focused on driving specific Big W X outcomes and growing the capabilities of their direct reports. You will align and support your teams, with accountability for talent acquisition, retention and providing growth opportunities for the talent within the Practice. In collaboration with the GM Product Management in wooliesX you will establish and evolve frameworks and standards that enable our Product team members to be effective in their roles. You will also ensure that the team has the space to focus on building their capabilities through meaningful growth and development plans, connecting with others for shared learning, and driving innovation across the business.

You will partner closely with senior leaders across Big W X, as well as multiple Tribes across the ecosystem to deliver products (feature-based, technology-based and process improvement) and customer, store and team experiences that can be leveraged across the Woolworths ecosystem. You will work to identify gaps, risks and dependencies across the Portfolio striving to maintain alignment horizontally across the business.

**On a given day, you could be doing any or all of the following**:

- Translating BIG W Digital and eCom Strategy into a 24 month product roadmap.
- Partnering with the Big W X Digital Leadership team, Tribe Leads and Group Product Managers to identify key measures of success each quarter, and prioritising Product initiatives and activities.
- Monitoring and managing Voice of Team and output of Listening sessions, actioning key feedback from Practice Members, partnering closely with the Big W X Leadership team and other stakeholders.
- Developing professional performance plans to ensure clarity on quarterly goals and measures of success, ‘always on’ personal development conversations that are meaningful to your team members.
- Succession planning to support the career advancement of team members and managing all aspects of recruitment including onboarding and talent pipelining.
- Leading a consistent approach to formal performance development outcomes and talent calibration across the Product Practice.
- Managing the Practice Budget, focused on investment in team development and connection through team events and offsites.
- Leading collective training and shared learning programs across the Practice with a focus on the key capabilities that need to be developed within the team
- Participating in Tribe and Big Room Planning to support team and capability development, actively guiding stakeholders to ensure we work on the most valuable activities and supporting cross team dependencies and programs of work across the ecosystem.
- Support Group Product Managers and Product Managers in key strategic initiatives they are driving with a focus on Product Strategy development and capability, delivery and engagement.
- Sponsoring initiatives within the Product Practice that focus on our Team 1st strategic priorities.
- Leading the definition of Product frameworks, standards and processes in collaboration with Group leaders, including participating in quarterly Woolworths Product Alliance sessions to help build Product Management as a Group capability.
- Evangelising Product Management and Big W X Product across Woolworths.
- Ensuring that optimal ways of working are agreed and implemented across Product Management, Experience Design and Engineering to deliver on the priorities agreed with the Big W X Leadership team.
