Our client is a well-established GP clinic that thrives on patient care and the ongoing continuity of patient support. This is a bustling clinic and a position requiring someone willing to learn all facets of the job as they undertake training.

This role is offered on a permanent part-time basis, offering 4 shifts per week, with the willingness to cover additional shifts. This is a rare opportunity to get your foot in the door and establish yourself as a trained Medical Receptionist.

**Hours required**:
25 hours over 4 days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday)

**Duties**:

- Handling of incoming calls and message-taking in a pleasant and personable manner
- Use of Best Practice medical software
- Schedule patient appointments
- Process patient accounts
- Triaging patients
- Scheduling of specialist appointments for patients, including appointments for x-rays etc.
- Inform patients are aware of possible delays.
- To ensure reception area is a positive environment for patients.
- Maintain reception and waiting areas.
- Follow security protocol of the practice.
- Ensure doctor’s rooms are maintained, (tidy and all stationery has been re-stocked)
- Daily scanning of correspondence
- Attend to correspondence and results from pathology, specialist, other doctors etc
- Efficient maintenance of the practice filing system and associated correspondence
- Ensure daily back up of computer.
- Daily balancing of banking and float

**Essential Criteria**
- Able to work within a team environment and collaborate effectively.
- Computer literacy
- Punctuality and excellent presentation
- Ability to prioritise and organise and remain calm
- Professional verbal and written communication

You will participate in general staff meetings, and any other relevant discussions offering further development which will ensure ongoing support and training with your openness to learn and upskill.
