**Role**:

- Coburg North Primary School is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Buildings and Grounds Community Liaison. This is a fantastic part-time employment opportunity to contribute to the upkeep and beautification of our school grounds, fostering a vibrant and supportive community.

**Responsibilities**:
Coordinate and facilitate low-level maintenance tasks around the school, including:

- Blowing and pressure cleaning the courts
- General gardening and upkeep of the school grounds
- Painting and raking Softfall
- Maintaining the school crop and other outdoor areas
- Other low-level maintenance duties assigned by the Assistant Principal

Work closely with parent volunteers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently, with flexibility for volunteer work to be arranged outside school hours including the running of working bees

Conduct all Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) inductions for buildings and grounds roles to ensure a safe working environment

**Location Profile**:
Coburg North Primary School is situated in the northern suburbs approximately nine kilometers from the CBD of Melbourne. The school grounds include an indoor multi-purpose hall, three main buildings and portable structures containing multipurpose teaching and learning spaces. The grounds include four separate adventure playgrounds, two basketball and netball courts and an oval. After significant growth in enrolments, the school has stabilised at approximately 550 students.

In 2024, Coburg North Primary staffing profile included a principal, two assistant principals, 38 teachers, 8.4 full time equivalent Education Support (ES) staff, one administration staff member and two business managers. There are currently twenty-five straight classes and five specialist programs (Music, Visual Arts, Physical Education, Italian and STEAM). The school facilitates a personal tablet program for Year 5 and 6 and a one-to-two school-based devices for Foundation to Year 4 students.

The school places an emphasis on literacy, numeracy, inquiry learning and wellbeing and inclusion.
