**A little about the role**:
We are currently seeking a manager for our HSEQ team on the East Coast. In this newly created role, you will contribute to the maintenance of a safe work environment, by effectively using a range of HSE tools and processes to implement HSE programs and drive compliance and a positive HSE culture.

**Key Duties**:

- Assist with the development and communication of the HSEQ Strategic Plan and Tactical Plan and implementation of actions to achieve strategic directives
- Train and advise Operations on the value of prompt reporting and actioning of hazards and incidents
- Lead, train and mentor HSEQ Advisors (East)
- Support management and worker awareness of HSEQ responsibilities and accountabilities
- Contribute to and support HSEQ consultation and participation processes
- Support and coach workplace teams in fostering a positive HSEQ culture
- Train Operations team in HSE programs and the use of HSE tools e.g. Take 5, CRAs/ CRIs, JSAs, Permit to Work
- Participate in hazard identification, workplace inspection, Job Safety Analysis and Critical Risk Management processes
- Review and maintenance of the Risk Register, in relation to HSEQ scope, facilitation of risk assessments and review of operational activities in conjunction with the Operations team
- Participate in the development and review of procedures and safe work procedures in conjunction with the Operations team
- Assist with development of and contribution to implementation of activities to prevent workplace fatality, injury, disease and ill health
- Review compliance with workplace policies and procedures including conducting workplace internal audits and support external audits as required
- Facilitate and participate in incident and emergency preparedness and response
- Lead critical incident investigations and participate in other investigations, as required; and generate HSE Alerts and Learnings
- Review and ensure quality of Myosh data
- Assist in implementing actions resulting from audits, investigations, inspections etc
- Engage with and support HSRs, HSEQ committees, supervisors and managers
- Liaise with relevant authorities regarding HSE and complete regulatory reporting, as required
- Provide HSE content for HSE forums including Toolbox Meetings, HSE Meetings and Operations Meetings
- Prepare, analyse and report HSE Lead and Lag Indicators, as required
- Provide HSE information for tender responses and contract deliverables
