**Organisation Overview**

St Patrick’s Community Support Centre (St Patrick’s) is committed to working in partnership with other
agencies to support individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in obtaining
stable accommodation, independence, and improved quality of life. We provide a range of services to
support them on this journey, including emergency relief and meals, health and mental health
services, drug and alcohol services, life skills training, as well as crisis and transitional housing.

**Position Intention**

Assist and support the People and Culture function across a wide range of Human Resources (HR)
duties, including day to day transactional HR administration and support policy development,
employee relations, reporting and project support.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

The People and Culture Administrator reports to the People and Culture Advisor and undertakes the
following duties:
**Recruitment and**
**Selection**
- **Assist with preparation of job advertisements and position descriptions.**
- **Assist with posting job advertisements on various platforms.**

- **Create and maintain employee folders.**
- **Update and maintain HRIS**

- Ensure all correspondence and administrative processes are completed in

accordance with relevant policies and procedures to facilitate the provision of

accurate and timely information to stakeholders.
- Maintain files, scan documents, compile employee documents and issue

to accurately and timely.
- Provide administrative support to team members as directed to assist in day-to
- day activities.
- Provide administrative support to P &C Advisor in the preparation of documents

for case management of people related issues including performance

management, fitness for work matters.
- Assist with off-boarding process when required.

**Reporting**:

- Prepare and assist with all reporting requirements including compliance, staff

turnover, recruitment, training and compliance.

- Ensure all correspondence and administrative processes are completed in

accordance with established policies, procedures, and workflows.
- Ensure documentation and associated processes are maintained and accessible

in appropriate formats.
- Ability to operate under the direction of the line manager within established

guidelines.
- Ability to communicate with internal and/or external stakeholders to fulfil the

requirements of the position as directed.

**Qualifications and Experience**

**Essential**
- HR generalist experience or intermediate HR function and administration
- HR or relevant qualifications or graduating
- Familiar with Human Resource Information systems

**Skills, knowledge and attributes
- Excellent skills with Microsoft office packages (excel, word, outlook, publisher, power point)
- Knowledge of employment contracts, awards/agreements, and human resources/industrial

relation legislation
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent prioritisation skills.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and ability to work independently when

required.
- Ability to work within the values of the St Patrick’s Community Support Centre.
- Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with people from a wide

range of social-economic, multicultural, and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

**Required Compliance Documents**
- National Police Clearance.
- Possession of a current C class motor vehicle driver’s license.
- Senior First Aid (or willingness to undertake if required).
- Working with children’s check (or willingness to undertake if required).
