Team Leader Bundoora Body Shop

Due to a recent restructure we are looking for Bodyshop Team Leaders to manage the work flow in the Bodyshop. These positions will be required to make prompt & knowledgeable decisions to ensure the continuous smooth running of the Fleet Presentation area and support the Fleet Presentation Manager.

The roles are available on a fulltime basis based at our Bundoora Head Office. Team Leaders positions will be on the rotating morning and afternoon shifts.

Key responsibilities include:

- Day to day supporting & advising of Bodyshop team
- Allocate work at the commencement of a shift based on Defect Notices and Accidents
- Create workorders and arrange parts to complete workorder.
- Order parts for scheduled work and consumables.
- Take digital images of damage for quotations
- Checking of vehicle repair standards to the company’s expected level.
- Internal communication with Bodyshop team & Fleet Presentation Manager.
- Being aware of Occupational Health & Safety requirements in the Bodyshop work area.
- Immediately report, repair and attend to any OHS risks.
- Help development and on-site training of staff members.
- Cover Fleet Presentation Manager position when they are out of the office, (e.g. absent on planned and unplanned leave)
- Ensuring stock levels are adequate for planned work.
- Co-ordination of Road Safety Inspections, with workshop staff.
- Administer insurance work.
- Administer Defect Notices.
- Move vehicles as per scheduled work

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Relevant Trade Qualification
- Relevant Heavy Vehicle License
- Previous team leader experience is required
- Experience in bus repairs preferred
- Good communication
- Be available to work Overtime on weekends on a rostered basis
- Strong computer skills are essential including Microsoft office suite and the ability to learn new systems, previous exposure to JD Edwards an advantage
