PASS (Peer Assisted Student Support) offers free, weekly, out-of-class study sessions to undergraduate students in targeted courses. The sessions are facilitated by students who have successfully completed the relevant course previously and are skilled communicators.

Attending PASS has the goal of helping students;
- Deepen their understanding of course content
- Develop skills for independent university study
- Make friends
- Feel more confident in their studies

The Program Manager, UNSW PASS will work to develop and implement the PASS program pilot in 2023 and assist with the transition to business-as-usual thereafter for this program and other peer assisted study initiatives at UNSW. This will contribute to increased participation and success in education and is aligned with the UNSW 2025 Strategy to enhance Educational Excellence and the Student Experience.

The role will provide program management reporting and operational management, develop communications, quality assurance, build and maintain key internal and external relationships including faculty staff and Student Success teams, and develop and deliver key program related activities and initiatives, to ensure effective and positive student learning experiences.

The role reports to Head Student Success and will be responsible for coordinating, training and supervising casual student peer facilitators. This role has 1 direct report.

**Who You Are**:

- Manage the successful implementation and delivery of the PASS UNSW pilot program to a developed timeframe and within the allocated budget to achieve operational and strategic goals, including return on investment (ROI) analysis and reporting.
- Deliver day-to-day UNSW PASS program management, including the development, implementation, documentation and evaluation, including recommendations for PASS expansion planning, continuous improvement and transition to BAU.
- Recruit, train and manage the casual PASS facilitator team including rostering, administration, supervising, evaluation and management of any issues that arise.
- Scope and coordinate initiatives to support the upscaling of the program initiative across the University.
- Develop an evaluation and reporting framework, including benchmarking with relevant programs, delivering regular reports for key stakeholders and senior management.
- Partner with key stakeholders at UNSW to monitor and report on progress of the pilot; and identify problems and propose possible solutions.
- Develop and implement the communications plan to promote PASS at UNSW in 2023, building strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive a collaborative promotional framework.
- Assess and report on the promotional activities completed and develop and improve the communications plan to promote PASS across UNSW to diverse students, academics and faculties.
- Provide leadership, strategic thinking and advice to relevant stakeholders on the development and implementation of innovative developments to the PASS pilot to improve student learning and experience.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the student learning experience, including an understanding of the key issues currently impacting accessibility to tertiary education and academic support and services.
- Develop and maintain professional networks in the PASS and other peer academic spaces, in UNSW and the education sector, and implement good practice from the sector to the PASS UNSW program.
- Coordinate adherence to UNSW governance pathways to ensure projects are managed in alignment with relevant UNSW policies and procedures.
- Align with and actively demonstrate the UNSW Values in Action: Our Behaviours and the UNSW Code of Conduct.
- Cooperate with all health and safety policies and procedures of the university and take all reasonable care to ensure that your actions or omissions do not impact on the health and safety of yourself or others.
