**The Role**

The purpose of the Assistant Development Manager is to undertake specific childcare and commercial projects from acquisition to completion at the direction of the Senior Development Manager to deliver:

- Financial returns and project milestones in accordance with agreed parameters and the Company’s business plan
- Deliver quality project outcomes within agreed parameters and tenant specification
- Minimise project risks

The focus will be to assist the Senior Development Manager in the processes of, town planning, development activities, leasing, construction, and delivery of the projects

The Assistant Development Manager is to provide support in all aspects of development and building contract administration, including the preparation and control of financial information and budgets, document production and control, records, file, database maintenance, project budget and cash flow, coordination of the consultancy team and tenant works and specification satisfaction.

The role will be to assist the Senior Development Manager across multiple projects by maintaining effective administration procedures that are consistently and accurately adhered to in a timely manner.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Assist with contracts, planning approvals, town planning, feasibilities, and acquisitions.
- Ability to review variations and claims alongside the builders/PM consultants.
- Someone who can assist on site and properly read plans with attention to detail.
- Highly skilled in presenting in front of colleagues, clients & stakeholders and maintain relationships.
- Actively monitor and check that the building works comply with the licencing authority so that the centre can achieve the permitted allocated placements

**Skills & Qualifications**
- Tertiary education in Project Management, Construction, Property, or related field.
- Strong contract administration skills including managing progress claims, variations, EOTs, etc.
- Ideally had exposure in the residential (Apartment & Townhouse), commercial & education sectors.
- Ideally have contract knowledge, Australian Standard construction contracts, RFI & EOT documentation, construction & client reports, and variation management.
- Must possess problem-solving skills to be able to identify and manage risks on projects & find solutions.
- Minimum 1-2 years-experience in the property development industry
