Are you an experienced, creative and passionate ICT Infrastructure platforms engineer with a broad range of quality assurance skills? We are looking for clever, creative, passionate and energetic people with different skills, backgrounds and experiences to help the University embark on the biggest digital transformation in our history. We have a permanent opportunity for an ICT Infrastructure specialist to help the University embark on the biggest digital transformation in our history. The successful applicant will play a leading part in the delivery of the Digital Master Plan on high priority projects across the University and assist us to develop our cloud, automation and orchestration capabilities.

**About the Role**
The Digital Infrastructure and Cloud Enablement (DICE) Program will deliver a range of critical initiatives for the University focused on improving the digital experience within our learning and teaching spaces, the uplift of end-of-life infrastructure and improvement of core digital capabilities as part of phase 1 of this program.

The Infrastructure Platforms Lead will be a strategic technical leader for the Infrastructure and Research Platforms capability. The role will assume responsibility for high-level technical support of on-premise physical and virtual compute services, storage services, enterprise backup and recovery and cloud computing. This will include contributing to the strategic planning, design, development and maintenance of new infrastructure deployed as part of the Digital Infrastructure and Cloud Enablement (DICE) Program. A vital component of this role will be aligning current systems/data with our future aspirations, including improving automation and orchestration, capacity planning and management and general service improvement/maintenance of existing platforms.

**Key Duties**:

- Provide effective technical advice and support for team objectives and staff development.
- Coordinate workload and prioritize tasks for the team, providing progress updates to stakeholders.
- Offer expert technical advice on storage and compute platforms, including infrastructure design and review.
- Contribute to platform lifecycle management, ensuring data security, availability, and integrity.
