**The Role**

Our Project Delivery Group is an integral function tasked with designing & implementing capital projects.

Successfully executing these capital projects is crucial for the Co-operative to achieve our long term network plan and 2033 strategic objectives.

In the role as **Head of Commercial** you'll be accountable for supporting our project delivery, engineering, and operations teams, driving efficiencies in end-to-end execution. Developing strategic commercial and procurement solutions, expertly managing contracts and ensuring strong project controls and reporting, you'll be at the forefront of making things happen.

Your passion for effective stakeholder management and relationship-building will be pivotal in fostering strong connections with internal project teams, operations customers, contracting partners, and other key functions.

In addition, you’ll lead and mentor the commercial team while facilitating continuous professional growth.

**Responsibilities include**:
- Successfully delivery of project tenders, contract awards and contract administration- Develop procurement strategies and solutions aimed at enhancing business value- Assist delivery teams with precise and timely project control services, encompassing estimating, scheduling and cost management- Provide guidance on commercial best practices and collaborate closely with our in house legal department- Foster a culture centred on grower value & service

**About You**:
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships- Degree or equivalent in commerce, law, project management- Substantial contracting expertise, including in a project setting overseeing high value/complex contracts ($10 million to $100 million)- Broad and extensive knowledge and expertise and proven understanding of contract management- Advanced capabilities in analysis and strategic business planning
