The role of the Design Manager is to initiate the early stage of project design and then develop the design with all consultants through to Council submission and approval.

We want to continue to grow and innovatively develop and operate our properties and are actively acquiring more new Centres.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Project Administration and Reporting** - the role will involve the administration of project documentation, including acquisition documents, initial sketches, drawings, consultants reports and all submission packages to Council and any related Council correspondence and filing of those documents.

The work will also involve gaining fee proposals from consultants, approving the consultants invoices and recording and tracking the project costs for review by the CEO and the Board of Directors.

**Design manager**:

- Kennards Self Storage has the capacity within its existing portfolio to undertake a variety of development designs. This may include designs for new green-field sites or the expansion of existing self-storage sites. We also intend on acquiring new properties for development into self-storage centres and then exploring mixed use developments on selected sites.

You will be required to:

- Appointment and management of consultants, architects, planners, Surveyors, engineers and the like
- Submit development proposals to Council and be the applicant contact on behalf of Kennards Self Storage.
- Address a Council or any planning panel as required.

The Design Manager should have a broad understanding of industry wide building design elements, a broad understanding of factors that may impact a sites design, the ability to research and understand a Council control and / or any State planning policy.

A background in drafting and preparing concept sketches would be beneficial.
