About the RACGP
The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) is the voice of general practitioners (GPs) in our growing cities and throughout rural and remote Australia. For more than 60 years, we’ve supported the backbone of Australia’s health system by setting the standards for education and practice and advocating for better health and wellbeing for all Australians.
We foster the future of general practice through our profession-led, community-based training model for the Australian General Practice Training Program and other training pathways. We train GPs to deliver quality, whole-person care to patients across Australia, support their ongoing professional development and provide a point of connection for GPs serving communities in every corner of the country.

About you
As our Medical Educator - Practice Experience Program (PEP) Specialist you’ll have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with exposure working as a GP in a General Practice environment and have held a RACGP fellowship for three years or more. To thrive in the role, you’ll have:
a current Australian specialist registration in general practice without addenda.
five (5) or more years’ experience as an OsCE/RCE/CCE examiner with a three (3) year recency of experience and be CPD compliant.
About the opportunity
Reporting to the National Clinical Lead - Training, Information and Data Systems, you’ll be responsible for the effective implementation of our Practice Experience Program (PEP) Specialist stream. You’ll work with the National Clinical Lead, Training Program and the PEP specialist team ensuring the delivery of all education and training activities associated with the PEP Specialist training program. In addition, you’ll provide:
support for medical education and assessment
develop assessment materials including updating and revising assessor guides
mentorship, support, and education delivery to registrars
training program support and evaluation
resource development for the PEP Specialist training program
