**Your new role**
You will be part of the Network Engineering team which is responsible for delivering network requirements and implementation to achieve business outcomes. The Networks team is responsible delivering, supporting and continuously improving the Bank’s Global Network and Security services. In any given week your responsibilities may include to:

- Responsible for the development of strategic programs of work
- Provide consultancy across projects and delivery teams
- Contributes to delivery planning with expert advice
- Identifies, gains support for, and ensures execution of strategic direction in areas of expertise
- Responsible for nominated technical assets related to areas of expertise including roadmaps and technical direction
- Active contribution to internal online discussion around software engineering, delivery and technology e.g., blog posts, knowledge base articles etc.
- Contribute to the technical design for system enhancements
- Implement features following the guidance of senior members of the team
- Role model continuous improvement mindset in team and project interaction

**What you'll need to succeed**
- 2+ years of DevOps and automation experience
- 5 - 8 years of experience in System Administration, Networking Concepts and Application Support
- Experience with JSON Script, Yaml, YANG, Python, Powershell
- Experience with anyone of these frameworks: Ansible, Terraform, DNAC
- Experience in DevOps engineering, creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automation of infrastructure coding & scripting in Python/Shell/PowerShell
- Experience working with Cloud Platform like AWS and Azure
- Experience in Window /Linux engineering and exposure to automation and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, GitHub, Gitlab, would be highly critical
- Experience with Kubernetes and/ or Docker workloads, and infrastructure related open-source contributions are advantageous
- Work with project teams to understand network connectivity
- Understanding of integrating to public cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Azure, and hybrid cloud network integration
- Ensure all services within the IT service portfolio are managed with consideration to network, capacity, platform, sociability/scalability factors and target architecture
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as a Code
- Experience with any SIEM tool is desirable
- Specialized knowledge of development and design methodologies
