The Role Health Capital Division is dedicated to implementing a County-centred framework for health care. The Project Lead - First Nations Engagement role requires you to work in partnership with Queensland's Health and Hospital Services (HHSs), First Nations stakeholders and HCD project teams to deliver expert, specialist advice. As the Project Lead for First Nations Engagement, your role will be responsible for providing specialist advice to project teams on how to engage with local First Nations Stakeholders and Traditional Owners, while ensuring communication materials are culturally safe and appropriate. You will independently manage project deliverables and build trust with the First Nations community by offering high-level strategic advice on cultural considerations in healthcare infrastructure development. You will lead and collaborate on opportunities to involve First Nations stakeholders in project activities and coordinate linkages between HCD activities and the broader Queensland Health First Nations initiatives.
The successful person To be successful, you will need a deep understanding of First Nations culture, history, and contemporary issues and possess strong communication and relationship-building skills. You will be able to work independently and passionately lead the First Nation Engagement with conviction. It is imperative you are committed to respecting and celebrating First Nations culture and heritage.
