**About the Opportunity**:
The role of the Educational Officer is to promote awareness and a broader understanding of the benefits of nuclear science and technology. They are responsible for representing ANSTO during tours and at community and educational events to ensure that stakeholders and the wider public develop a more informed and favourable opinion of the organisation.

Education Officers need the ability to communicate and influence visitors from diverse backgrounds (i.e. primary and secondary students and teachers, community groups, university groups, special interest groups etc.) and across many forums including increasingly via online presentations and by primary school incursions.

**Your Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that visitors to ANSTO have a positive tour experience and leave with a clear understanding of the key benefits that the organisation provides to all Australians.
- Delivery of outreach programs including incursions into local primary schools, virtual tours via videoconferencing and school holiday workshops.
- Represent ANSTO at key community and teacher events, which include delivering demonstrations and presentations and providing information.
- Effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, including primary school students and public visitors who require simple and engaging explanations, scientific experts who require answers to very technical and specialised questions, and to business and government representatives, who require strategic responses.
- Assist in the creation and delivery of creative resources and competitions that engage students across Australia.
