The Salvation Army is one of Australia’s largest providers of alcohol and other drug services. Each of our services across Australia offer a unique program for people experiencing alcohol or drug problems. Residential treatment centres, community-based support programs, counselling and withdrawal management services are just some of the options available.

About the role

Due to our current Team Leader being promoted, we are currently seeking a values-driven and proactive Team Leader - Residential to:

- Provide support and guidance for direct reports, which includes assessment and referral, education and support, delivering a comprehensive client focused service.
- Develop and maintain residential treatment options.
- Develop and coach direct reports to be a high-performing team.
- Project manage the residential AOD services, including building networks and partnerships as required. All activities support the achievement of the Mission of The Salvation Army.

You will successfully
- Oversight the assessment, processing and admission of participants into treatment, community or residential based.
- Work closely with the Team Lead Community to ensure a seamless service for participants.
- Oversight residential AOD activities, developing strong networks and partnerships, building collaborative and professional relationships with other agencies.
- Continue to develop and coach direct reports, utilising quality checks as feedback and opportunities for learning and reflecting.
- When required, assist the Centre Manager in evaluation and research and representation of the service as required.
- Identify, and communicate to the Centre Manager systematic gaps in service delivery, which assists in policy development within this area.
- Receive and process student placement enquiries.
- Demonstrate commitment to the TSA values and mission to foster an environment that values continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of high quality support services.

This is full time permanent position, this position is located at Mount Tambourine, Queensland. Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, Level 6

You will have
- Tertiary or other qualifications within Community Services, Social Work or similar discipline
- Solid level of experience (minimum 2+ years) in the implementation of case management, groups, and systems for AOD/or complex needs clients.
- Experience working in collaboration with other organisations to develop and tailor programs to meet clients’ needs.
- Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience.
- Experience and resilience in working with complex clients presenting with challenging behaviours
- Ability to encourage and cooperate with others to achieve common goals
- Acknowledgement and responsiveness to diversity of experiences, perspectives, values and beliefs
- A current Queensland Drivers Licence
- Be able to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
- Ability to be part of the on-call roster
