**Position Information**:
Whitebridge is a proudly comprehensive high school that offers its 980 students the best educational opportunities, in an inclusive, safe and secure learning environment. Our school proudly celebrates diversity and inclusion and fosters a positive learning environment where we can all learn and grow together. Our school includes three MC classes, three ED classes and one IM class catering to students with a disability across Years 7 to 12. Our school has a strong junior AECG and supports an Aboriginal student population of 7%. 5% of our student population also have a language background other than English. **Selection Criteria**:
In addition to the general selection criteria,

1. Highly visible proactive leadership with demonstrated capacity to cultivate, lead and evaluate evidence based and data informed initiatives, organisational structures and practices aligned to the SIP to achieve and exceed school targets

2. Demonstrated high level communication and skills in systems and processes to manage the complex day to day operations of the school including student and staff wellbeing and a strengths-based approach to student behaviour.

3. An innovative and responsive leader with proven ability to strengthen partnerships and engage students, parents and our diverse community in collaborative strategies that facilitate growth in student attendance, engagement, wellbeing and learning outcomes.

4. Outstanding instructional leadership to develop quality teaching and learning structures and pedagogical practices which builds on a culture of high expectations, inclusion and professional collaboration embedding a culture of improvement and high impact teaching practices.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice

2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs

3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams

4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents

5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning

6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
