**About the Role**:
The APS 6 Project Officer (Labour Hire) is accountable under limited direction to undertake complex work that is guided by legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents.

The position is a team leadership position within the business and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across a range of activities. It will provide the leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision-making for the Team Membership within the positions assigned Work Area.

The APS 6 Project Officer (Labour Hire) will provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. It may be required to coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development that support the business’s objectives.

**Duties**:

- Develop and manage project plans and schedules in accordance with the business’s project management framework.
- Provide specialist advice and technical expertise to staff and stakeholders.
- Coordinate regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
- Prepare draft written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs, and corporate documentation.
- Identify and assist with the management of project risks, issues, and benefits. Contribute to project quality management to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose and meet client needs.

**Required experience and skills for the Role include**:

- Experience in project management tools, such as Microsoft Project.
- Proficiency in other Microsoft Office products, namely Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Understanding of project management methodologies, and able to effectively coordinate moderately complex projects from initiation to closure.
- Strong analytical skills - the ability to analyse large amounts of information from a range of sources and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Strong communication skills
- the ability to effectively communicate written and verbally to stakeholders across the organisation, from frontline staff to executives. Strong task management skills - the ability to effectively manage tasks across a portfolio of diverse projects.

**Desirable experience and skills for the Role include**:

- Experience in JIRA project management software. Experience in data analytical tools and methodologies.
