**About the role**

In this role, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for the Group’s climate disclosures, co-ordination of initiatives across the Ampol Group.

You will lead the benchmarking and industry analysis to identify and drive best practice in the field of climate change reporting, risk assessment and response.

**Key responsibilities**
- Collaborate with the business to develop best practice climate disclosures
- Align climate communications taxonomy to manage climate related messaging and minimise greenwashing risk
- Partner with the business to support the delivery and embed climate change commitments made in the 2023-2025 Sustainability Strategy
- Coordinate climate risk management including benchmarking against external frameworks
- Manage the Group’s response to the Safeguard Mechanism working closely with Lytton refinery personnel and other internal stakeholders
- Participate in external forums, keeping informed of the market and strategic insights to provide insights to the business

**About you**

As someone who has a passion for climate change, you will enjoy keeping up to date with the market, new innovations, and insights as it relates to the role and industry. You will have strong analytical skills and the ability to relay information clearly through a variety of forums.

**Key skills and experience**
- Tertiary and professionally recognised qualifications in environment, sustainability, or other relevant discipline
- Extensive experience in a similar corporate role in an ASX-listed or global company
- Experience developing and driving, sustainability, decarbonisation and climate policies, strategies, and programs at the group level for large organisations
- Lead the production of reports and support engagement with Board members on, climate, and decarbonisation performance
