At the City of Cockburn, we’re serious about creating Safe, Enjoyable and Compliant communities. The Coordinator of Development Compliance role exists to provide technical and operational support towards this goal, proactively reducing Planning and Building compliance matters.

This position has a strong coaching element as you will be responsible for a team of four Development Compliance Officers and an Administration Technical Officer. You’ll be accountable for modelling expected behaviours as well as coaching, developing, motivating and caring for your team. You’ll build productive relationships with the wider business and other stakeholders to inspire positive change and drive our vision at the City - “Cockburn - the best place to be”.

The Coordinator will be equally operationally and strategically focussed, setting and meeting clear KPIs and objectives for yourself and your team to deliver. Your purpose will drive everything that you do ensuring a “Safe, enjoyable and compliant community”. The Coordinator will promote procedures, processes and templates that will enhance Council’s Development Compliance Services functions to assist in achieving Council’s strategic goals.

You’ll be data-driven and up-to-date with trends and legislation within Building, Development Services (Planning), Public Health and construction. You will work closely and collaboratively with various service and business units in meeting your goals.

- Sound computer skills
- Substantial experience as a Compliance Officer or similar

**Salary**: Level 8: $105,618 - $111, 736 per annum, dependent on skills and experience.
