**About the Role**

The Manager Local Government is responsible for the development and delivery of the stakeholder engagement plan with Local Government in Greater Sydney to grow the visitor economy of the region. The role champions local government and visitor economy issues and coordinates internal engagement.

This is a Clerk Grade 9/10 position with a base salary commencing at $120,859 plus superannuation.

**Essential Requirement**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent professional experience
- Experience and demonstrated skills in government relations, policy development and stakeholder engagement

**Key Knowledge and Experience**
- Strong understanding of local government operations and planning controls and ability to identify issues and impediments to business operations.
- Demonstrated understanding of political issues and sensitivities in a local government context
- Demonstrated understanding of the visitor economy of the Greater Sydney region
