About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Duty Social Worker You will be the first point of contact with people attending the services and play a central function to the Access Health daily activities and administrative support to other health professionals.

Responsibilities include
- Provide safe and nurturing environment for all people attending services
- Work with trauma informed practice and harm reduction principles with good understanding of social model of health
- Conduct medical and social triage of people attending services
- Communicate professionally with all internal and external stakeholders
- Complete all medical reception administrative tasks in a timely manner
- Lead specific portfolios identified by need such as co-facilitation of drop-in groups

This is a permanent part-time position, 15.2 hours per week, based in St Kilda, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Level 5 Award.

What you will have
- Bachelors degree in Social Work, Social Services or similar
- Relevant experience in Social Service environment preferably the health, AOD, homelessness and/or mental health sector
- A Current Driver’s Licence
