**Do work that matters**:
The Technology and Operations (Tech & Ops) Risk team is responsible for providing specialist Operational Risk and Compliance (OR&C) advice, assurance and acceptance/approval of decisions made across the Technology, COO and Supplier Support Units.

**Your key stakeholder relationships include**:

- The RBS Group Executive and EGMs
- The Group CIO, BU CIOs and Technology EGMs
- The Technology Chief Controls Office, Line 1 teams
- The Tech and Ops Risk Team
- Other Line 2 Group and CRO Teams
- Group Audit and Assurance
- Regulators

**Key responsibilities for this role includes**:

- Participating actively as a member of The GM COO and BU/SU Technology OR&C team, role modelling a positive risk culture. You will also participate in the RBS CRO team, collaborating across Risk specialists.
- Your portfolio will include Line 2 support of BU/SU technology functions. This includes CBA, Bankwest and X15.
- Supporting the BU/SU CROs, GMs and teams in ensuring a consistent and pragmatic approach to end to end risk management in the business.
- Contributing to the strategic direction of both the operational risk and compliance functions, including the efficiency and effectiveness of our Risk Management approaches.
- Engaging and supporting the relevant stakeholders in preparation for regulatory engagements and ensuring appropriate regulatory reporting in a timely manner.
- Advising, monitoring and reporting on the successful implementation of 3LoA and delivery of all elements of the Risk Management Approach, the Operational Risk Management Framework and Compliance Management Framework in support of CPS 220.

- High quality written and verbal communication skills, report writing, evidence gathering and data capabilities.
- Stakeholder, influencing and leadership skills with the ability to engage pragmatically and commercially as a trusted but independent partner and to build a team of experienced, collaborative and curious SMEs.
- A curious and humble mindset with the ability to stay across external trends and changes and seek global perspectives on risk management for best practice.
