Hobart Private Hospital is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for our After Hours Hospital Coordinator role. The After Hours Hospital Coordinator is a pivotal member of the health care team and is responsible for providing leadership in the after hours management of the hospital.

Hobart Private Hospital is a fully accredited facility with 146 beds co-located with the Royal Hobart Hospital in the heart of the city. Hobart Private Hospital provides Emergency Services, Angiography and Cardiac Services, Maternity, Medical, Surgical, Day Surgery and Endoscopy.

**As an After Hours Hospital Coordinator your responsibilities will include**:

- Supervise safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards
- Support and liaise with the respective Clinical Nurses of wards and departments
- Ensure all areas are staffed appropriately and cost efficient
- Manage patient flow, coordinate and plan operational processes, working within the budget direction of the hospital
- Coordinate patient admissions
- Support the hospital’s commitment to quality improvement and achievement of National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards
- Maintain the safety of staff, patients and visitors

**Essential Criteria**:

- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA Registration with at least 5 years experience
- Demonstrated experience with the coordination and allocation of staff
- Ability to manage multi tasks and co-ordinate resources appropriately
- High degree of computer literacy including MS Office
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated management and leadership skills

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Completion or working towards post graduate qualification in management
- Recent management experience at Nurse Unit Manager or Hospital Coordinator level
