**THE ROLE**

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Automotive Sales Clerk is an important link in providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. You will provide **timely, efficient, accurate** and **professional** processing of enquiries, quotes, product sales and area reporting. Your strong administration skills, polished customer focus and ability to work well within a small, fast paced team are vital for success in this role.

The successful applicant’s duties will include:

- Use selected in-house computer program/s to provide quotes, confirm orders, invoices and spare parts to our customers.
- Attend to telephone and counter sales enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide recommendations on company products (trays and spare parts) to suit the customer’s needs and promote accessory sales.
- Provide reseller details, product brochures, price lists and fitting instructions on request.
- Build and maintain excellent customer, contractor and reseller relationships.
- Demonstrate a flexibility and willingness to work productively with other departments.
- Display a work ethic and approach that is professional and skilled - with an emphasis on using personal initiative as a means to continued role success.

1) Demonstrated and recent sales experience - particularly servicing customers via telephone.

2) Previous experience in the Aftermarket/ OE Sales - **highly regarded**.

3) Previous automotive/4x4 industry and/or spare parts experience - **highly regarded**.

4) A keen interest and ability to understand technical concepts and interface with end customers, to realise their needs.

5) Well developed communication skills - in both verbal and written forms.

6) Outstanding administration skills - including a good working knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).

7) A “can do” attitude, with a genuine desire to assist our customers and fellow team members.

8) A team player who is proactive, demonstrates flexibility and exhibits professionalism at all times.

9) Current driver’s licence and own reliable transport - a must.

10) Must be punctual, reliable and available for work Monday to Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
