An Australian-owned freight forwarder with offices based in both Melbourne and Sydney. Our client is now 15 years old and, with growth, has developed strong customer relationships and now expanding to meet client needs.
- **ABOUT THE ROLE**
Our client is adding a Licenced Customs Broker to their Melbourne office. The position is a solo broker in Melbourne as part of a national team reporting to a Sydney-based Manager. Working paperless on CW1 in an autonomous role, handling the clearance process from end to end. The position will suit a licenced broker who loves autonomy and controlling the process. CW1 experience, along with time working in a smaller forwarder, will be ideal
- **DUTIES**
- Hands on Broker role handling compiling, classifying and lodgement
- Educate teams to have presented files completed and ready for processing
- Identify TCO, ACS, AQIS and ATO duties and tax initiatives to benefit the customers
- Resolve specific and technical queries for both clients and fellow brokers (working in a team of 4 nationally)

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- 5+ years as a licenced Customs Broker preferred
- Previous experience working autonomously
- AEP accreditation advantageous
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with CW1 and paperless preferred
