Working with in the School of Pharmacy and Medical Science, the Academic Support Officer is responsible for providing administrative support, within a designated year level, to ensure effective academic planning and administration of matters relating to course management.
Working in collaboration with the Program Support Officer(s), the Academic Support Officer manages and undertakes processes in providing administrative course support to the Deputy Heads of School (Learning and Teaching), Program Directors and Advisors, Course Convenors and Academic Staff.
The role contributes to business improvement initiatives and work practice changes in support of innovative and responsive academic administration.
This is a part-time (70%), continuing position based at the Griffith University Gold Coast campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.
Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
**Salary Range**
The full time equivalent base salary for a HEW Level 5 is in the range $76,236 - $85,825 per annum, plus 17% employer superannuation. The total FTE package is in the range $89,196 - $100,415 per annum.
**Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated commitment to building effective business partnerships. You will also have, but not limited to:
- Posses an Associate Diploma with at least two years’ experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrate a high level of organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective systems, processes, and procedures and to prioritise competing demands and deadlines.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrate the ability to work under broad direction and to exercise initiative, discretion, and your own judgement.
- Demonstrate a high level of client focus within a timely and effective delivery to meet KPIs.
