Service Advisor

RDO Equipment is the world's largest and most trusted John Deere and Vermeer equipment dealers, selling and supporting John Deere Construction & Forestry, and Agricultural & Turf machinery, as well as the full range of Vermeer equipment.

**About the Role**:
We have an opportunity at our Rutherford branch for a Service Advisor. A varied role that will see you working with a range of equipment across John Deere Agricultural Machinery.

**The key responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to**:

- Providing excellent customer service, seeking customer feedback and giving advice to customers over the phone
- Monitor and manage daily workflow, compliance with company defined procedures
- Assigning jobs to Service Technicians, following up with employee issues or concerns, scheduling and conducting in-house Service Technician training
- Maintaining product knowledge and some liaison with the Parts department, as necessary
- Addressing and resolution of customer disputes, in conjunction with the Service Manager
- Timely completion of warranty and WIP requirements in conjunction with the Service Manager
- Reviewing all repair work before releasing to the customer, maintaining product knowledge and some liaison with the Parts department as necessary

**You will bring the following skills and experience to the role**:

- Mechanical Trade Certificate
- Previous experience of engine overhauls and major repairs including electrical, hydraulic and diagnostic skills.
- Strong supervisory/management experience with the ability to lead, mentor and develop your team
- A current and valid driver’s licence
- A mature attitude and logical and methodical approach to your work
- Possession of high-risk work tickets and/or licenses would be highly regarded
