Our People and Culture division are looking for passionate and experienced professionals to join our team and help us ensure our 13000 staff have the knowledge, tools and support to stay both physically and psychologically healthy and safe at work.

You will be joining a friendly, fast-paced, team of both Safety professional and recover at work specialists. The team are are passionate about prevention, plus proactive management, and support for staff when injuries or illness occurs.

**In this role you will**:

- Provide WHS advice and support to managers and employees related to the management of WHS risks, including facilitation and/or participation in risk assessment and risk register processes,
- Ensure compliance with WHS and injury management legislative requirements and our Safety Management System,
- Develop and/or assist with the development of WHS programs of work to continuously improve systems, training, procedures and processes to ensure the physical and psychological safety of our people,
- Demonstrate excellent stakeholder engagement skills to develop strong relations with the various agencies across DCS and internal people and culture teams to deliver excellent customer service.
- Communicate to stakeholders changes to WHS legislative requirements or similar and support implementation
- Support and provide advice about incident management procedures and processes, such as hazard assessments and incident investigations,
- Assist with the ongoing promotion of prevention programs and support services such as EAP
- Contribute to WHS related communications, including Safety Alerts

**To be successful in this role you will demonstrate**:

- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to be solutions focused and work across the team when needed
- WHS Cert IV qualification or equivalent work experience
- A thorough understanding WHS legislative requirements,
- Experience with using online hazard and incident reporting systems, data analysis and WHS reporting such developing reports for executive leadership teams,
- Experience working with Safety Management Systems, including compliance requirements, review and internal audits,
- Risk management experience
- Incident management experience including use of an incident investigation methodology e.g., 5 Whys, ICAM

Salary Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role starting at $106025 base plus superannuation
