**About the Role**:
We are currently seeking an experienced Product Specialist to join our team in our Toowoomba Support Office supporting our John Deere Agricultural line on a 12 month contract with the potential to be extended.

This role will function as a specialist technical resource for both internal and external customers by developing and maintaining expert level technical knowledge on all John Deere machines to assist in machine sales, delivery, handover and servicing. By providing product expertise on specific equipment lines, this role will build long term relationships to maximise company profitability and market share.

**The key responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to**:

- Resource for Technicians, Service Managers/Service Advisors, Sales staff and Parts Leads to help resolve critical product problems by assisting in diagnosis and repair and sharing of best practices
- Be the in-house expert for the implementation of New Product Technologies, Eg JD Smart grade and Telematic Solutions for RDO and customers
- Actively participate in and/or lead training to support ongoing skills and competency development in self and other staff
- Works with John Deere and OEMs as a partner in quality to help identify emerging product quality concerns and support problem resolution
- Assists in identifying Technical training needs or gaps by communicating with location Service Mangers / Service Advisors

**You will bring the following skills and experience to the role**:

- 5+ years of experience in Service and Parts department operations; demonstrated experience consistently meeting performance metrics preferred
- Current and Valid Driver’s Licence
- Relevant Trade Certificate - Heavy Diesel Fitter/ Mobile Plant Mechanic/ Diesel Mechanic or Equivalent
- Experience with basic computer functions; experience using JD Service ADVISOR, JD Parts ADVISOR, or other computer based diagnostic repair tools preferred
- Experience with the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in Agricultural Equipment
