**A bit about the role**

As a Front of House Officer, you will provide high quality customer focused and professional Front of House services for performances, functions and events across all Wyndham Cultural Venues.

IMPORTANT: Due to growth in our team, we are looking to fill 1 x full time ongoing role and multiple causal roles. Please note in your cover letter which you would be interested in.

**What you’ll do**
- As required, act as the Duty Supervisor when rostered on and be the first point of contact for all clients, being responsible for the safe and efficient operations and logistics of the building.
- Ensure a safe environment for all centre staff, users and patrons, providing briefings of emergency evacuation procedures and ensure all Council OH&S requirements are met
- Regularly check the safety of equipment at the venue and of that brought in by hiring organisations and report concerns to leadership to decide on the repair or removal
- As directed, oversee room set ups and pack downs according to event order sheets and take responsibility for opening and closing and securing the venue
- Carry out food and beverage services according to function and event standards and in line with Responsible Service of Alcohol principles
- Complete any relevant end of day administration, financial reconciliations and event reports highlighting any significant problems or issues

**What you’ll bring**
- Post-secondary qualifications in hospitality services (desirable)
- Demonstrated experience in front of house operations and supervision
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol and Food Handling Certificates
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Demonstrated experience in front of house operations at events or performing arts venues
- Good understanding of occupational Health and Safety and Risk Management provisions related to venue operations
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
- A continuous improvement mindset with a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
