Your insights will inform strategic decisions and initiatives and you'll contribute to developing the FSO's annual Workforce Plan, identifying challenges and opportunities, and devising effective solutions to enhance adaptability and success. Additionally, as a trusted editor, you'll ensure that all Strategy and Planning written products meet the highest quality standards, fostering trust and credibility among stakeholders.

You will make a real impact in ensuring that Australia's present and future workforce have the skills necessary to drive and grow our booming industries by:

- Prepare research reports, submissions, briefing notes, and other written material, in relation to a range of VET-related regulatory and policy issues.
- Undertake qualitative, quantitative and desktop research as needed to inform evidence-based submissions and other materials.
- Review and interpret data, identify trends, and draw insights that can be used to shape submissions and reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop well-researched policy briefs, position papers, and other high-impact deliverables.
- Contribute to the FSO’s strategic planning and decision-making processes by offering data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Finesse presentations and documents for both internal and external audiences, maintaining our branding/look and feel.
- Provide specialist advice to support policy and research related representations made by other FSO staff, as directed.

**Who are we?**

And we need a team of people who share our commitment and passion to drive change on behalf of the Nation.

**Who are you?**
Open-minded, with a passion for the development of skills across the economy and a desire to fix the systemic challenges across the training system. You thrive when undertaking leadership and project management of newly conceived programs of work, and strive to be recognised as a credible and influential contributor to all things VET.

With exciting opportunities to drive change, you will need to have drive and adaptability to be successful in a fast-paced start-up, and ever-changing environment.

- Demonstrated ability to verbally present complex findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and meet multiple competing deadlines.
- Proven ability to professionally interact with a range of diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in a complex, ambiguous and ever-changing environment.
- A collaborative and values based mind set.

**Even better**:

- Experience in the area/s of VET, workforce development and/or experience in the Finance, Technology or Business sectors.
- Understanding of a wide range of industry and employee organisations, with knowledge of the interdependencies and complexities between those groups.
- Experience with Asana, HubSpot, and Adobe

**Are you with us?**

We believe there are many different ways of developing skills and we love diverse experiences So even if you don’t “tick all the boxes” but think you’d thrive in this role, we would like to learn more about you.

**Note: You’ll need a copy of a current driver's licence and proof of entitlement to work in Australia.**

We welcome applicants from a range of backgrounds and experiences, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, LGBTIQ and people with disabilities.
