- HOBAN Recruitment is delighted to offer you the chance to join our esteemed Traffic Warden Team. We are currently seeking enthusiastic and friendly individuals dedicated to ensuring the safety of children. As a Traffic Warden, you will be a key part of our team, supporting children, families, and pedestrians in safely crossing roads at designated points._
**_Position Summary:_**:
- In your role as a Traffic Warden, your primary purpose is to maintain traffic safety and assist children and the community in crossing roads safely. You will be responsible for supervising designated crossings during your shift, promptly reporting incidents, accidents, near misses, or potential risks, and maintaining a high level of awareness and professionalism._
**_Key Responsibilities:_**
- _ Direct school traffic during peak morning and afternoon periods, ensuring the safety of children, families, and pedestrians._
- _ Monitor designated crossing points and promptly report any incidents or potential risks._
- _ Operate road signs and use hand signals to manage traffic and pedestrians._
- _ Communicate with other Traffic Wardens and team members via two-way radio to share traffic updates._
- _ Explain crossing procedures and address questions from road users._
- _ Assist with the setup of events and traffic management when required._
- _ Participate in general litter cleanup and garden maintenance duties._
- _ Perform other ad-hoc tasks as necessary._
**_ Requirements:_**
- _ Excellent verbal and communication skills _
- _Possession of a valid 'Working with Children Check' (Employee) or willing to obtain one. _
- _Previous experience in a similar role, traffic safety, or working with children is highly regarded but not essential._
- _ Enthusiasm and dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of the community._
- _ Full Australian Drivers License_
**_ Role Details:_**:
- Casual role, Monday to Friday during school term._
- Morning shift: 07:15 AM - 09:15 AM._
- Afternoon shift: 2:15 PM - 4:15 PM._
- Hourly rate: $33.34/hr._
