- A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, dynamic, progressive, enthusiastic Diagnostic Audiologist, based at the Royal Hobart Hospital.**The Role**:
As part of the multidisciplinary Statewide Audiology Service, the Diagnostic Audiologist:

- Manages the day-to-day operations of the Audiology component of the Statewide Cochlear Implant Service and Universal Newborn Hearing Screening (UNHS) Program. This includes:

- Providing cochlear implant assessments and rehabilitation.
- Undertaking infant diagnostic assessments.
- Providing information and advice to clients and their families on the suitability of available treatment options including implantable technology.
- Provides high level audiological diagnosis and management to adults and children referred to the service.

- The Audiology team is growing More opportunities have arisen_ A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, dynamic, progressive, enthusiastic Diagnostic Audiologist, based at the Royal Hobart Hospital. Tasmania’s largest public teaching hospital provides a wide range of acute, sub-acute and specialised services and is centrally located, close to public transport and a short walk to the CBD. The Statewide Audiology Service has 20+ team members including audiologists, audiometrists, infant hearing screeners, speech pathologists and family support facilitators. Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team including ENT specialists, Paediatricians, Clinical Geneticist and Genetic Counsellors, to provide evidence based, patient centred care and achieve great outcomes for the Tasmanian community.

**Details of Appointment**

Permanent, full time & part time, day worker positions working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Fixed Term, part time, day worker position working 15.2 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible for approximately twelve (12) months.

**Salary**:
$101,108 to $119,430 per annum + 10.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- _Salary range is in accordance with _Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2019_

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
- Relocation assistance may be available.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

- Professional Development Allowance of up to $724 per annum or the ability to accrue funds for up to five years.

**Eligibility**:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

- Satisfactory completion of an appropriate course of study* from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration.
- “_appropriate course of study” is tertiary qualifications in Audiology and eligibility for full membership of Audiology Australia._

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

- Current Driver’s Licence

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
