**The opportunity**
As an Aquarist you will provide animal husbandry for a range of teleosts and invertebrates including fish, sea jellies and corals. As an Aquarist, you will also be required to conduct water quality testing.

**Your day to day**:

- Carry out daily husbandry and maintenance tasks for the Sea Jellies Illuminated facility to maintain the animals in the best health possible.
- Daily care of teleosts and invertebrates.
- Water quality testing.
- Participate in collections, transports and rescues for all fish and invertebrates.
- Complete daily records for all exhibits under your care to ensure that accurate and complete histories are maintained for all animals.

**What you’ll bring**:

- Bachelor of Sciences in a relevant field (e.g. Marine Biology) required.
- Knowledge of aquarium systems, filtration and water testing.
- Knowledge and ability to care for live food hatcheries, including harvesting, cleaning and nutritional enrichment of microalgae, rotifers and artemia.
- Knowledge of marine species including sharks, rays, fish, turtles, jellyfish and corals.
- Ability to work unsupervised and on a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
- Previous experience working in a public aquarium would be valuable.
