**What **you’ll** do**:

- Team leadership of Safety & Environment Advisors across the regions ensuring consistent delivery of safety and environmental initiatives to harmonise current practices, provide training and deployment efficiency across regions.
- Support building a high performance and resilient safety team through clear definition of scope, baseline capabilities and cross-skilling on specialist areas such as High Voltage, Hazardous Chemicals etc. over time.
- Enabling and supporting frontline safety ownership: working with the key internal stakeholders to establish a reporting process for sharing safety metrics and insights to proactively identify emergent risks and co-develop solutions and corrective actions.
- Drive & facilitate data-driven decision making: work with Corporate Safety, Operations Performance & Support (OP&S) and Regional Teams to analyse performance drivers and workshop get-to-green plans for opportunities and risks identified for consolidated reporting
- Provide input into the research and adaptation of industry safety and environmental best practice

**What we are looking for**:

- Tertiary qualifications in safety, environmental science or equivalent knowledge from operational experience
- Deep understanding of operational Safety work practices in water, utilities, mining or engineering
- Expertise in high-risk safety process and procedures such as chemical management, high voltage, confined spaces, working at heights, electrical safety etc
- Experience in the development and implementation safety culture programs in a geographically dispersed organisation
- Experience with Coaching and leading teams in continuous improvement in safety performance and cultural change.
- Current NSW driver’s licence.
