**About our team**

The Department of Regional NSW Regional Development and Programs branch are the NSW Government’s eyes and ears on the ground for regional economic development and infrastructure delivery, providing multi-agency coordination, program and grant funding, community planning and coordination, and emergency response delivery.

**About the role**

The Project Officer will provide project management and support activities to contribute to the delivery of a range of investment attraction and infrastructure development objectives.

Key responsibilities for the **Project Officer **role include, but not limited to:

- Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees and consultations
- Prepare and maintain information systems to track the performance of investment attraction and business development activities
- Support the Business Development team by sourcing, collating and compiling data and information to identify emerging issues and opportunities
- Undertake research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing presentations for use with business clients

This role will be responsible for delivering a range of project management and support services, given tight deadlines, limited resources and the need to manage competing priorities.

The Project Officer reports to the Deputy Director Regional Development.

**About You**

We are seeking a highly organised professional with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, allowing you to maintain the confidence and support of business clients and government stakeholders.

You will be highly motivated and a proven project officer with the ability to oversight many different projects with separate deliverables and action items.

You will have a passion and in depth understanding of the issues facing Regional NSW as well as the markets and industries that will play a key role in the development of our regions into the future.

**Essential requirements**
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications or equivalent, relevant professional experience and training.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
- Experience with project management tools such as Asana, Gantt Charting (or similar)
- Experience with CRM systems (ideally Sales Force)
