The Haematology Research Unit delivers Clinical Trials for Monash Health Haematology patients, ranging from Phase 1 to Phase 4 studies. We have in excess of 70 active clinical trials, and continue to grow in size. We are a dynamic unit and we pride ourselves in the quality of care we deliver to our patients.

**About the Role**

The purpose of the position is to effectively and efficiently facilitate the Governance and Ethical approval of clinical trials within the Haematology Research Unit during both the pre-approval phase and post-approval phase for each study. The successful applicant will ideally have experience in Human Clinical Research Ethics and Governances processes and have an in depth understanding of Good Clinical Practices as set out by the International Conference on Harmonisation. The Ethics Research Assistant works in conjunction with other members of the Haematology Research Unit. A strong collaboration between the unit, the trial sponsors, and Monash Health is required in planning and implementing trials to ensure the best possible care for trial patients.

This position is being offered as a 2, or possibly 3, day per week (16 or 24 hour per week, Mon-Fri), onsite role. There can be some flexibility with hours and days once training is completed. Once trained, there may be some capacity for a mix of onsite and remote working hours. Team work and collaboration is vital.

Effective and efficient oral and written communication are essential for this role.

Experience in Ethics and Governance submissions for clinical trials is preferred.

The role is based at Monash Medical Centre in Clayton, Victoria, and is a 1 year fixed term contract.
