**Who we’re looking for**:
The Purchasing Manager has full accountability for the successful operation of the Purchasing functions for our Fleet Partners customers, providing excellent customer service throughout the pricing / order to delivery processes. Underpinned via a focus on quality assurance, process improvement, team excellence, and adherence to SLA’s.

**What you’ll be doing**:
Functional responsibilities:

- Coach, train, manage, and lead the team of Purchasing coordinators
- Responsible for the procurement process from order to delivery, including the effective communication across the relevant internal departments and with external suppliers
- Develop and manage daily reporting to ensure the adherence of teams to agreed SLA’s
- Manage the overall pipeline of new orders ensuring timely and accurate updates of estimated delivery dates
- Manage relationships with third party suppliers to ensure efficient delivery of new vehicles
- Manage supplier and internal relationships to ensure timely and accurate activation of new vehicle deliveries
- Maximise resource allocation through regular workforce planning & forecasting
- Act as a point of contact for escalations and issues, and proactively investigate root causes
- Other duties as required

Staff engagement / relationships:

- Drive engagement across the team and build effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
- Role model, foster and embed the Eclipx values
- Ensure direct reports have active job descriptions, balanced scorecards and development plans
- Build and manage the capability and performance of the team, through bi-annual performance reviews, 1:1 meeting, daily team meetings and other initiatives.

Continuous improvement:

- Contribute to the development of new ideas, opportunities to improve and effectively manage the implementation of changes at work.
- Lead the team to implement projects designed to increase productivity and service delivery.
- Control error rates to within agreed performance standards. Create a culture of “right first time” through quality assurance / risk mitigation methodologies and capability development.

**Requirements**:

- Relevant costing, finance or procurement experience, preferably within the motor vehicle or related industry
- Results driven - demonstrate a determined commitment to achieve standards of excellence
- Leading teams - energise and align employees around a shared vision. Create a climate in which teams’ performance is optimised, and teams are aware of / achieving expectations
- Build effective relationships within and across teams and encourage cooperation
- Customer focused, internal and external with strong service mentality
- High concern for detail and the desire for accuracy and quality in work completed
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate both written and verbally.
